Woosh! Flying high in the sky, sometimes if you listen.
Drifting slower than you or I, way out of reach.
Big like our imaginations, crawling by.
Capturable, in a way.
Like a breath.

Oh I’m sorry! I didn’t see you down there,
I must not have been listening out for you. Are you OK?

Pardon me, but what if you accidentally killed something that mattered to you?

maybe you’re just walking down a path, up a hill
and something jumps in your way, underfoot or
in your face.

Now that it’s dead, what do you do?
You made it out alive and you get
to sleep in your bed tonight

Sometimes at the foot of my bed at night I think to myself
Sometimes I declare my motives to myself
Sometimes before I fall asleep, I wake up
and see the light. and then I can’t sleep.

Profound lessons are to be had in our cemeteries.
Deep thoughts of divinity, hardship and our roots.
These places we ignore usually, leaving them untouched and slightly kept after.
Go there and also witness the abundance of animal life.
Listen to the birds, bugs and hundred year old trees sing.
They thrive on the land that holds our ancestors.
We walk the Earth in peace and joy.
As I walked the hallowed ground I came upon a “butt-tree.” It had long cheeks and about head height there was a hollow with green leaves inside. As I looked in, I saw the leaves twitch and heard a rustling. Startled, I jumped back and then laughed at myself. I found a nearby seed pod full of uneaten, red berries and tucked it lightly into the nest’s doorway. My work was done.
Be well, friends.

ouch!
what was that?
I saw something fly out of my shirt too, where’d it go?
Oh, it definitely stung me. Now we’ve both been stung. Ha!
Let’s go!
How’s your leg, does it still hurt?
Thanks for walking with me and catching the first webs.

let ’em look
who cares what they will think
be yourself
and find out who you are
watch them watching
trying to see you
only seeing a fraction of what you show them
and their own reflections

passing by overhead
fading away at a snail’s pace
rusting, losing power, malfunctioning
blowing away
a faded recording
our fate could rest
in a single droid
help me Obi Wan
you are my only hope

force your own perspective to change
grab control of your own thoughts
for just a second
guide yourself
down
up
see the canopy
let the light come down to you
hear the hustle and bustle of life
watch the art
listen to its message
it’s whispering something
what did it tell you?
what will you take away?
how has it made you grow?

Underwater,
outer-space,
pressure builds and
you will succumb.
Give into the pace,
Yes, breathe in-hale,
out it goes, down stream
with the flow, so it wants to go
And you will,
you have,
you are
and always will
until you wake up again.
You’ll make a splash this time
your ripples will make great waves
and others will bob up and down
with our flow.
it is ancient.
until you wake up again
From the depths of time
the cold dark nothing
a seed of life
and a safe harbor
with still waters
reflecting your eye.

“…so we can learn to pick ourselves up.” – Alfred

– – – – – – – – –
Even the flowers fall, down with the sunlit leaves and debris.
From the nurturing soil, toward the nurturing sun,
We get past the fallen trees and tragically beautiful flowers by growing up and over them. They will nurture us all for generations yet to come. Even though we become separated we still hold each other in our hearts. The separation is an illusion. Just listen.
What do the voices of your dearly departed say to you? Who are the separated that encourage you to grow and become more of yourself? What long dead voices still ring true for you? What soil nurtures your roots? Where are you getting your brilliant sunlight? Where do you get your regular water?
Food and drink, for thought and nutrition, eat well and be well.
